I had purchased a bow from Cabela’s three weeks ago. Shooting everyday a few times and spending time pattering and hunting the whitetail. On December 21, 2006 I managed to bag my first whitetail with a bow, 22yards while I was on the ground, there were does all around me. I enjoy the weight, silence, and let-off more than anything.

I took my first doe at the White Oak Plantation in AL. I was using my new Diamond Black Ice. Two does had come in to my left and the first doe began feeding at twenty yards. I went to full draw as she bent her head down and after holding at full draw for what seemed like forever, I released. My guides were amazing and the experience better than I could have imagined.

I took this 9 point 170 pound (field dressed) Whitetail Buck right after the pouring down rain with my Diamond Victory.

Zebra

When professional hunter Jacques Senekal of Africa Maximum Safaris
first told me to take the shot on a nice zebra stallion, I held off.
I didn’t want to pass through the big animal and hit the female
standing behind him.

Jacques later told me that shouldn’t be a concern because he’d never
seen an arrow pass through a big stallion before, especially at the
poundage I was shooting.

Because of an old elbow injury my Diamond Liberty was set at just 58
pounds….a little light by most African standards. I was confident
though that my Liberty would be up to the task.

Two days later my set up was put to the test when a six hundred pound
herd stallion gave me a broadside shot at just sixteen yards. I sent
an arrow through both lungs and the top of his heart before passing
out the far side. The zebra ran just fifty yards and went down
within sight.

I thank God for presenting me with such a wonderful hunting
experience, and for the opportunity to work with Diamond Archery.
Diamond bows are the best I’ve ever shot, and the people who stand
behind them are some of the best in the industry.

I got a buck with my Diamond Liberty. It had a nice 15″ inside spread. I was very pleased. The bow was awesome.
